My Results After Two Months

Greetings ,

I joined GMP just two months ago and I knew from day one that this was a program I wanted to be apart of.

I told myself that I would give GMP all that I had after seeing all the features and benefits just for becoming a FREE MEMBER.

Landing Page Targeting

What I like about my GMP upgrade is I can copy a landing page and then change the title of the new landing page to match the new target audience.

Examples:

If I advertise on a MLM directory, I just change the title to...

"MLM Lead Generating System".

If I'm on Facebook is use...

"Facebook Lead Generating System".

You also want to name the page the same as the title when you edit the page. This way the search engines will pick up on it.

When you advertise your landing page, you also need to add a tracking code.

If your landing page is titled: Make Money From Home
your tracking code should look like this: make-money-from-home

I found I get more leads this way when my title matches the target and tracking code.

Once again, I have a landing page that is kicking butt and it's available in the members area when you upgrade to Platinum member!

By the way, I told you I made the Leader Board at #27. I am now at #12.

My goal is to make the Top 10.

Getting Leads With Banner Advertising

Many years ago when I first started marketing online, I used SEO and domain names to generate traffic. I rarely used banner advertising because I thought it wasn't worth the money and/or I didn't want to take the time to learn how to use banner advertising properly.

You see, I started online back in 2000 and by 2002 I was making 6 figures with SEO and domain names (type-ins) so I felt I didn't need to learn anything else.

As time went on, trying to maintain first page rankings and depending on domains started to diminish. When the great recession started in 2008, things pretty much went downhill. Luckily, I made some wise investments and created a passive income in the past where I was able to stay afloat financially with lots of sacrifice of course.

I say all this because I want you to understand that you should never stop learning. What im about to teach you today, I could have learned years ago if I put my mind to it. EVERYTHING I try to teach you here on this blog is to help you save time and money building your business.

Okay...here we go!

Now the first thing I learned about banner ads is to test, test and test again. That goes for ANY marketing for that matter.

When promoting affiliate programs, you NEVER want to use their banners. The main reason is, there may be 1000's of affiliates advertising the same banner. The second reason is people have banner blindness. They see so many banners that most never grab their attention.

After lots of testing, I found that a banner with a small image on the left, a solid color background and bold lettering in the middle draws attention. Never tell them what the site is about or what you are selling. You want to make them curious enough to see more.

As far as the text goes, you have to come up with something short and to the point to get them to click.

I really don't want to tell you what to say because you may have better ideas then I do. Another tip is to use a background color similar to your landing page if posible. Once you have found the right banner, send them to a landing page that does all the selling for you. Plain text landing pages are boring and don't get the same results as a landing page with someone giving a motivating sales presentation.

Let's move on to my results. These results are from just 1 website I advertise on. It cost me $1 per day to test a banner, then when I find a banner that works, I can advertise at $24 for 30 days. The current banner I use is getting me on average 10 to 20 leads a day. Now that I have a winning banner and landing page, the banner pretty much gets the same results no matter where I advertise as long as the visitors are part of my niche.

From Aug. 30-31 I advertised affiliate programs using THEIR banners. As you can see, the results were terrible.

From Sept 1-2, I created my own banner using a simular banner above and used it to promote GMP. As you can see, the results were impressive. What a difference a banner makes.

From Sept 4-6 I used the exact same banner except this time I had the text blink which gave me even better results. I also learned from experience that after labor day, internet traffic will begin to increase since everyone would be back from vacation and this is when the season begins for online marketers.

It took me awhile to test different sites, banners and landing pages to come up with the right combination. As I find new ways on building my GMP Business, I'll share them with you here on this blog.

Another Awesome Idea

Hi Guys,

I post these emails because there is so much you can do as an upgraded Platinum member of GMP.

Another useful tip is creating screenshots of landing pages to post on Instagram and Facebook.

What I do is create a landing page strictly for social media in the GMP members area. I can then change images and the wording on the landing page on the fly. It takes literally a minute or two to edit. Once I edit the page I then take a screen shot and it's ready to post to social media.

You can literally have a life time of content just using background photos found in the landing page tool or images found on Google images. Wouldn't a tool like this benefit your online business? Of course it would.

Help Getting Set Up

Someone emailed me asking for help setting up their GMP account.

They wanted to how to get sales to their current affiliat.e programs using GMP.

Here is my reply!!!

I am also new to GMP and am still learning the ropes so to speak.

What I like about GMP is they show you step-by-step on how to set up your account with their introductory training videos.

All you have to do is list all of the affiliate programs you wish to introduce to your referrals. If you don't have any programs to promote, you'll find affiliate programs on your sponsors page you can join and promote.

Next, find a few landing pages inside the members area and start to promote your GMP affiliate link. The more people who join under you, the more people you'll get to see YOUR programs on your list.

But, if you have the money, you can upgrade to Platinum status and create much better landing pages that convert 5 to 10 times better then the free members landing pages.

I created an awesome landing page that is getting amazing results. I have over 50 sign-ups already and am 4 hours away from a 24 hour period. (65 signups in total)

These are the best results I have ever gotten in my total online career and I still have a couple of weeks to see if sales are to follow. I just upgraded to Platinum Plus yesterday and am waiting to see how well I do with sales.

The GREAT thing about GMP is its a great lead generator so I'm on my way to building a MASSIVE email list to promote other products to in the future

No Turning Back Now

The very first day I joined GMP, I knew it was a GREAT site with lots of potential.
I've only been a member for a short time and wanted to get pass the summer months to really put all I had into the site.

I had been testing different advertis.ing sources, banners, rotators, traffi.c exchanges, solo ads ect. I have even tried all the different landing pages as a free member. I invested in payed traffic sources also to get a feel of how well GMP would do.

I don't know if the timing was right but it seemed everything had fallen into place. I found a couple of sites that did well and of course some not so well. I tried different banners and finally found one that really worked well.

After weeks of testing and losing mone.y (investing I should say) I felt I was ready to take GMP to the next level. So yesterday I upgraded to Platinum Plus. ($25 a month)

The first thing I did was create a new landing page. It was the easiest page builder I have ever used. I tried all kinds of images, movie backgrounds, fonts, colors etc. There is so much you can do with this page builder.

I decided to go with this one as a test.

I started a few advertising campaigns to really put GMP to work. While the ads were running, I kept tweaking the page to make it better. It started out as a magnet to draw list builders but i decided to go with the Make Money Online theme since GMP is all things.

Well here's the good news and the bad news. The bad news was I picked the wrong landing page and had my sign-ups go to the sales page instead of the sign-up page. Now by default, if you choose to promote GMP with your landing page, the prospect has to add their first name, last name, email address and phone number. There is no way around it. I didn't find this out until AFTER I MADE THE MISTAKE.

The good news is, if you are promoting any other program, you can direct them to your own url or thank you page after they submit their informa.tion. If you choose this feature in your landing page settings, you can ask for a name and email address only. (You'll get more sign-ups)

When I started using this feature (although it was an error) my notification was going crazy. People were signing up like crazy. My wife told me to mute it because it was getting on her nerves. For me I was like WTF? I have NEVER seen sign-ups come in this fast and furious. I freakin' hit a winning combination. That banner and landing page are a kick ass combination.

I had to turn off all my ad campaigns after a few minutes time when I realized they were being directed to the wrong page. If I hadn't stop the ads, I would have gotten a lot more.
But as you can see there are 26 sign-ups from midnight to 12 noon today.

After I corrected my mistake and the landing page for GMP was set to default again, people now have to fill in a last name and phone number which makes some prospects have second thoughts on joining. The sign-ups are not fast and furious any more but if a prospect takes to time to make the extra effort, you know they are very serious on what you have to offer and make great referrals.

Even though I spent mone.y on advertis.ing with bad results, testing banners with little results and making an error on my landing page, it is all about to pay off big time. It can only get better from here on in.

If you are really serious about GMP, and are motivated like me, don't hesitate on upgrading. There are so many other features that I don't have time to explain them all.
